Another work is dedicated to merchants. Artur Szyk reminds the
viwer that Jews helped to send Polish products to various places
in the world, thus contributing to the development of Polish
economy.
The scene features the loading of goods to the ship in the
Gdańsk port (the Gdańsk coat of arms is supported by two lions).
In the upper left corner – a shield bearing emblems of Poland
and Lithuania. Next to it – three men looking at a map.
Inscription in Polish and Latin: "Jewish merchants exporting corn
and timber from Poland though Gdańsk to the world far way."
