its construction was still underway. She was nominated for the po-
sition of an assistant professor and became the organizer of neo-
natal wards and the head of the Premature Infants Ward and then
of the 2nd Newborns Ward. After the reorganization and creation
of the Clinical Ward of Neonatology in 1990 she was the deputy
head of one of its subunits. She also continued working after reach-
ing the retirement age. She ended her professional activity in 2010.
She worked as a physician for over half a century. "Meeting healthy
adults, I treated and saved when they were children gives me great
joy and satisfaction" – she says about her work.

Zofia Lubinska-Rosset also did scientific research. She pub-
lished 42 scientific papers. She has twice received the Rector's
award for her teaching achievements. She was awarded the
Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta and the Golden
Cross of Merit, as well as the honorary award “For meritorious
service to the Institute of Polish Mother's Health Center”.

Significant professional achievements were accompanied by

turned out so well," - she confesses. They have two sons - Tomasz
and Witold, three grandchildren - Christopher, Ewa and Aleksan-
            dra, and a great-granddaughter Naomi.
In the 1990s Zofia Lubinska-Rosset became involved in social
activities related to the experience of war and the Holocaust. "I
have never forgotten my past and have never denied my roots,"
she emphasizes. In 1992, as soon as the Association of the Chil-
dren of the Holocaust was established in Poland, she became its
member. A year later, she shared her memories for the first time.
From the very beginning, she was involved in numerous activities
for the remembrance of the Jewish community in her hometown
of Lodz. In August 2004, during the commemoration of the 60th
anniversary of the liquidation of the Litzmannstadt Ghetto, she
planted her tree of memory in the Survivors' Park. It is a sycamore
