‘A liaison during the action between the Schulz and
Toebbens [workshops] area. She went all that horrible way
a dozen or more times. When she brought her last group to
the sewer entrance, she sprained her leg and it was hard for
her to walk on her own. Her friends are steadying her. When
her turn comes to go down the entrance to the canal, as the
last one, she declares: “I’m not going, I won’t be a burden to
you on the way, it’s difficult anyway”. And she stayed alone
in the ghetto’.
