‘Marek used to say that there was
           nature, accident, coincidence, but no

           God. That there, after death, it was
           neither dark or bright, neither cold
           nor warm. There was simply nothing

           there. But whenever something terrible
           was going on, he immediately argued
           fiercely with that non-existent God. (…)

           Honestly, I would very much like to
           see Marek’s face now. What if he has
           actually met God where he is now?

           He must have felt stupid, right? I have
           never seen Marek with a stupid look on

           his face, so I would gladly see it.’
