Ewa Wiatr and Adam Sitarek from the Center for Jewish Research on the University of Lodz will talk about the Polish-Jewish relations during the time when the ghetto was being created as well as about the literature in the ghetto.
As part of the open lectures the citizens of Lodz will have a chance to get to know different aspects of the history of Litzmannstadt Ghetto that existed between 1940-1944 in Łódź occupied by German troops.The first lecture will take place on 18th February at 6 p.m. Free entrance
Encyclopaedia of the Lodz Ghetto is a part of events accompanying the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of liquidation of Lodz Ghetto that will take place on 29th August – in the day of commemorating the last transports from Lodz Ghetto to Auschwitz-Birkenau.
