	KOLOROWA TOLERANCJA COLORFUL TOLERANCE 2013

Pierwszego dnia wiosny po raz trzynasty zapraszamy do udziału w Kolorowej Tolerancji. W  tym roku akcję rozpoczęły warsztaty na temat tolerancji w łódzkich szkołach, a przed nami jeszcze wiele wydarzeń: pokazy filmów, spektakl teatralny, debata, warsztaty, zwiedzanie kościołów. Finał akcji odbędzie się 21 marca o godzinie 12 w Parku Ocalałych.

On the first day of spring, Colorful Tolerance will be celebrated for the thirteenth time. This year, it opened with a workshop on tolerance in Łódź schools, and there are still many events to come: films, theater performance, debate, workshops and tour of Łódź churches and temples. The finale will be held on March 21 at 12:00 at the Survivors' Park.

20 marca 2013 Amos Oz dołączy do grona laureatów doktoratu honoris causa Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego.

Tego samego dnia  pisarz wygłosi otwarty wykład zatytułowany Izrael – marzenia i rzeczywistość. Odbędzie się on w Auli Fioletowej Wydziału Prawa i Administracji UŁ, ul. Kopcińskiego 8/12 o godzinie 17.00.
Centrum Dialogu jest współorganizatorem tego wykładu.

On March 20, 2013 Amos Oz will receive the honorary doctorate from the University of Łódź.

On the same day, the writer will give an open lecture “Israel – Dreams and Realities”. It will be held in the Purple Lecture Hall at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz, at 8/12 Kopcińskiego at 5:00 p.m.
The Dialogue Center is a co-organizer of the lecture.

	KLUB KURIERA COURIER CLUB

W 2014 roku mija setna rocznica urodzin jednego z największych Polaków XX wieku - Jana Karskiego.  Historia legendarnego kuriera i emisariusza państwa podziemnego stała się inspiracją dla stworzenia przez Centrum Dialogu im. Marka Edelmana projektu edukacyjnego skierowanego do szkół w Łodzi, a w dalszych etapach Polski i szkół polonijnych Niemiec, Francji, Hiszpanii i Wielkiej Brytanii.
Klub Kuriera ma stać się miejscem grupującym młodych ludzi zainteresowanych poznawaniem historii w sposób bezpośredni u jej źródeł.
W marcu  w  wybranych szkołach ponadgimnazjalnych odbędą się lekcje na temat postaci i dorobku Jana Karskiego w Polsce i Europie. O kolejnych etapach projektu można będziemy informować tutaj: https://www.facebook.com/KlubKuriera

2014 marks the hundredth anniversary of the birth of one of the greatest Poles of the twentieth century - Jan Karski. The story of the legendary courier and  the underground state emissary was an inspiration for an educational project aimed at schools in Łódź and in later in Poland as well as Polish schools in Germany, France, Spain and the United Kingdom.
The Courier Club has become a place for bringing together young people interested in learning about the history directly from its sources.
In March, in selected secondary schools, classes will be held devoted to Jan Karski and his achievements in Poland and Europe. We will post information about the subsequent stages of the project at: https://www.facebook.com/KlubKuriera

Pins featuring the portrait of our patron as well as our logotype  are waiting for you at the Dialogue Center temporary office (5 Pl. Wolności). We have been preparing Marek Edelman pins since 2011.

Letnia szkoła genealogii, historii i kultury to dwutygodniowy cykl warsztatów, wykładów i spotkań poświęconych polsko-żydowskiej przeszłości Łodzi oraz ludziom, którzy wspólnie tworzyli historię miasta.

Program będzie obejmować : warsztaty z zakresu badań materiałów archiwalnych (we współpracy z Archiwum Państwowym), a także cykl spotkań i wykładów poświęconych historii polsko-żydowskich relacji, polsko-żydowskiemu dziedzictwu kulturalnemu i artystycznemu oraz dziejom żydowskiej Łodzi.

Program uwzględni także najnowsze wydarzenia z historii miasta (m.in. powstanie Parku Ocalałych), a także przybliży postaci wielkich łodzian oraz osób w różny sposób z Łodzią związanych.

W ramach letniej szkoły zaplanowany został także fakultatywny wyjazd do muzeum na terenie byłego ośrodka zagłady w Chełmnie n/Nerem oraz zwiedzanie kilku miejscowości w regionie łódzkim.

Projekt skierowany jest do  byłych mieszkańców Łodzi, ich rodzin, a także wszystkich zainteresowanych historią żydowskiej społeczności miasta. W szczególności projekt jest adresowany do osób o łódzko-żydowskich korzeniach, które chciałyby rozpocząć badania genealogiczne lub archiwalne w zbiorach Archiwum Państwowego w Łodzi.

Summer school of genealogy, history and culture is a two-week-long series of workshops, lectures and meetings devoted to the Polish-Jewish past of Łódź and the people who co-created history of the city.

The program will include: workshop on archival research (in collaboration with the State Achives), as well as a series of meetings and lectures on the history of Polish-Jewish relations, a Polish-Jewish cultural and artistic heritage and the history of the Jews of Łódź.

The program will also include the latest developments in the history of the city (including the founding of the Survivors' Park) and a presentation of figures of people important for Łódź.

The participants of the summer school will also have an opportunity to visit the museum at the former death center at Chełmno on the Ner (Kulmhof) and tour several cities in the region of Łódź.

The project is addressed to the former residents of Łódź, their families, and anyone interested in the history of the Jewish community of the city. In particular, the project is aimed at people of Łódź-Jewish descent who want to embark on a genealogical or archival research in the collections of the State Archives in Łódź.
