13 maja o godzinie 18:00 zapraszamy na spektakl „Przyjechałem do ciotki Zofii” – sztuki Arthura Feinsoda, opartej na biografii Jana Karskiego. Autor jest dyrektorem artystycznym Teatru Repertuarowego Crossroads (Rozdroże) na Uniwersytecie Stanu Indiana, współpracuje od 2001 roku z młodymi aktorami. W sztuce w reżyserii Dale’a McFaddena występuje czwórka aktorów: Brad Venable, Josh Krause, Julie Dixon i Alex Miller. 13th May, 18.00 pm we’d like to invite you to a spectacle „Coming to see aunt Sophie” – a play by Arthur Feinsod, based on Jan Karski’s biography. The author is an art director of the Crossroads Repertory Theatre at the Indiana State University and since 2001 he cooperates with young actors. The play directed by Dale McFadden consists of four actors: Brad Venable, Josh Krause, Julie Dixon and Alex Miller.
15 maja o godz. 18:00, w ramach otwartych wykładów, łodzianie będą mogli poznać różne aspekty historii getta Litzmannstadt, które istniało w okupowanej przez nazistów Łodzi w latach 1940-1944. 15th May, 18.00 pm, as a part of the open lectures, citizens of Lodz will have a chance to learn about different aspects of the history of the Litzmannstadt Ghetto that existed in Nazi-occupied Łódź between 1940-1944. We’d like to invite you to the second part of the lecture by Adam Sitarek from the Center for Jewish Research at the University of Łódź and the Institute of National Remembrance. Free admission. The encyclopaedia of the Łódź Ghetto is a part of a cycle of events that accompany the 70th anniversary of the liquidation of the Litzmannstadt Ghetto that will take place on 29th August – the day commemorating the last transports from the Łódź Ghetto to Auschwitz-Birkenau.
17 maja o godzinie 12:00 zapraszamy na blok zajęć organizowanych przez Global Krav Maga Academy i Centrum Dialogu im. Marka Edelmana. Zajęcia będą częścią ogólnopolskiej akcji „GKMA AGAINST VIOLENCE” promującej opór przeciw przemocy ulicznej. Na zajęcia składać się będą wykład na temat bezpieczeństwa osobistego i zasad zarządzania sytuacjami kryzysowymi, prezentacja technik samoobrony i prewencji przeciw agresji ulicznej, oraz pokaz technik walki i obrony przed bronią w systemie Arm, Combat and Tactic. Zajęcia prowadzić będzie jeden z najbardziej doświadczonych instruktorów Krav Maga w Europie, założyciel i szef wyszkolenia GKMA Jarosław Rogowski. W ramach zajęć zapraszamy również na opowieść o „Emisariuszach i kurierach Polskiego Państwa Podziemnego”. Wykład poprowadzi historyk Centrum Dialogu im. Marka Edelmana i instruktor GKMA Szymon Pawlak. Wstęp wolny. On 17th May at 12.00 p.m. we would like to invite you to a workshop organized by Global Krav Maga Academy and Dialogue Center in Łódź.
The workshop will be a part of a nationwide action „GKMA AGAINST VIOLENCE” that promotes defiance against street violence. The workshop will consist of a lecture about personal safety and crisis management, self-defense techniques and street violence prevention presentation finished by “Arm, Combat and Tactic” fighting techniques and weapon defense demonstration.The lecture will be run by one of the most experienced Krav Maga trainer in Europe, founder and chief of GKMA, Jarosław Rogowski.
The workshop will be supplemented by a story about “Emissaries and couriers of Polish Underground State”. The lecture will be led by a historian from Dialogu Center in Łódź and GKMA trainer, Szymon Pawlak.
